The Boston Bruins could have the chance to finally land Patrice Bergeron's replacement.

The Boston Bruins mentioned in their end of year press conference that they don't think the team is fast enough and want to improve in this area.

Jonathan Marchessault would be the perfect guy for the Bruins to target heading into free agency.

It seems like the Boston Bruins and Jake DeBrusk are far apart in contract negotiations, and Marchessault would be a perfect replacement for him.

He has the experience he has 2 cups under his belt and also won a Conn Smythe in 2023 when they last won the cup.

With the Bruins seemingly far apart with JD and Neely sighting speed as a major point of improvement I'd imagine they take a run at FA Jonathan Marchessault

RW, smaller guy but speedy, skilled and experiencedjust a thought

Won Conn Smythe (2023)
Prev. AAV: $5M

If Marchessault does hit the free market, it wouldn't make sense for the Bruins not to go after him, speedy, experienced and skilled, could bring the secondary scoring the Bruins are missing as well.
