The NHL and NHLPA have made a major announcement regarding Brad Marchand's latest milestone in the NHL. This record placed him above winger Pavel Bure.
Last night against the Seattle Kraken, Brad Marchand would score the team's only goal against the 32nd team in the league.
The goal would occur after Marchand would be given a penalty shot, resulting in his 7th Penalty shot goal. Putting him above NHL legends like Pavel Bure, and Mario Lemieux, who only have 6 in their whole career.

The penalty shot was awarded to the Bruins after the team crashed the net, and defenseman Brandon Montour jumped on the puck.
The Bruins were given a penalty shot when Johnny Beecher sent a snap shot in on Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer, who made the initial save. As the Bruins collapsed in the front of the crease in an attempt to gather the rebound, Seattle defenseman Brandon Montour jumped on the puck.
After a quick review, the referees determined the puck did not fully cross the goal line and awarded the Bruins a penalty shot as a result.

Not only did Brandon Montour and the Kraken pay for their mistake depriving the Bruins of the ability to rebound the puck, but Marchand made history last night.
He put himself in the history books of the NHL and did so wearing the "C" and the Bruins crest. One of the most loyal players in the NHL still producing results for the team to this day.
The goal was a bright spot in what seemed to be an overwhelming match on the ice.
Brad Marchand has scored 23 points( 12 G, 11 A) in 31 games this season and has yet to sign an extension with the Bruins.
