Leading up to their first matchup against each other this season, the NHL issued an announcement regarding the Bruins-Canadiens rivalry game.

The Boston Bruins are back on the road tonight against the Montreal Canadiens after losing their seven-game winning streak to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
Ahead of their game tonight, the NHL made an announcement proving how historic the rivalry between the two teams is.

NHL issues an announcement on the Bruins-Canadiens game

Tonight is going to mark the 942nd time these two teams meet, which is the most of any two franchises in the NHL.
Both teams are tied for 1st place in the Atlantic Division, sitting at 22 points apiece, but the Montreal Canadiens have two games in hand on the Bruins.
Saturday marks the 942nd all-time meeting in the historic rivalry between the
@NHLBruins and @CanadiensMTL (reg. season + playoffs), the most of any two franchises. They meet for a big game on @Sportsnet tied with 22 standings points each.

Bruins make a change to defense

During practice yesterday, it became clear that the Bruins were making a change to their D pairings after losing to the Ottawa Senators.
Henri Jokiharkju seems to be coming out of the lineup tonight, and in his place, rookie Jonathan Aspirot will be slotted back into the lineup.
