The NHL made an announcement regarding the Bruins and next year
As the Stanley Cup finals continue to wind down, the NHL announced today the preseason schedule for the Boston Bruins which will begin in late September 2024.
There will be seven games on the schedule which includes games between the capitals, Rangers and Flyers at two each and a trip to Quebec City to play at the Videotron Centre against the Los Angeles Kings on October 3rd.
This schedule will fit the Bruins well as they will not have long travel time as ball teams will be within TD Garden.
General manager Don Sweeney will continue to evaluate his team and try to address the issues that face the Bruins including more depth up the middle, more scoring depth and locking down his goaltending as he faces a few decisions regarding Linus Ullmark and getting Jeremy Swayman under contract long term.
Some of the teams they'll face in the preseason are also having major question marks in their rosters including the Washington Capitals and the Philadelphia Flyers who both the midst between are a retool and a rebuild.
For the time being, the draft will be the forefront and unrestricted free agency Which begins on July 1st.
