The NHL took a shot at Don Sweeney following recent announcement
During game two of the Stanley Cup finals the NHL made an announcement and took a shot at Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney.
Don Sweeney did a solid job for the Boston Bruins especially with the position they were in being cap strapped, Don Sweeney found a way to give the Bruins good enough depth to make it to the playoffs and even the second round.
The Boston Bruins surpassed many expectations this year especially after losing two of their best centerman in David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron, they ended up making it further in the playoffs then they did will a NHL record setting team last year.
The NHL announced the winner of the GM of the year award during game two last night and Don Sweeney got disrespected.
Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill won the award for the second year in a row by a pretty good margin.
Don Sweeney only managed to get 21 points and came 5th, considering the problems Sweeney had to deal with this year, it feels like he should've been more recognized.
