Everyone knew it was going to be an emotional game tonight between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers.
During the first commercial break, the Boston Bruins ended up playing a video tribute for the former captain and things got pretty emotional.
On the jumbotron at TD Garden, the Bruins had a special video for the former captain, and he was seen crying while on the bench, and also on the ice while waving to the crowd.
After the video, the Bruins crowd was chanting "Marchy", and it made things that much more emotional.
Marchand made a quick impact
It seems like Brad Marchand was ready to make a big impact against his former team, as he ended up finding his way on the scoresheet just over a minute into the game.
Marchand made his return back to Boston and TD Garden, and quickly got his Florida Panthers up to a 1-0 lead after picking up an assist on a power play goal.
