Flames Confirm That Dillon Dube Lied About His 'Mental Health' Leave Of Absence
The Calgary Flames have issued a statement that, frankly, looks like they're trying to distance themselves from forward Dillon Dube a bit.
You may recall that Dube was the first of the four NHL players implicated in this investigation that took a leave of absence from his team.
At the time, it was billed as an indefinite leave to
"address his mental health."

The following day, Carter Hart, Cal Foote, and Michael McLeod all also took a leave of absence, but it was not billed as a 'mental health' leave.
The Flames are now stating that they did NOT know about Dube's pending charges when they granted him his mental health leave of absence.
