This week marks a significant moment for Electronic Arts, the game's producer, as the much-anticipated full reveal trailer for NHL 24 is set to hit screens on Wednesday, August 16th. The excitement was ramped up even further on Monday, when the cover athlete was unveiled, a pivotal role that carries the essence of the game.

In a Twitter post that resonated with fans, EA Sports NHL proudly declared Colorado Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar as the chosen one to grace this year's cover.





Makar's distinction is twofold he becomes the third player in franchise history to be bestowed with this honor, following in the skate marks of Joe Sakic in 2004 and Peter Forsberg in 1998.

This marks the first time in two decades that an Avalanche player has adorned the cover, making it a historical accolade.
