Marchand should have hit 1,000 points with the Bruins
Last year during the NHL trade deadline, the Bruins decided to make some big, unexpected changes.
One of those changes was
trading captain Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers. The reason he was traded was due to the two sides not being able to agree on a contract.
Don Sweeney did not want to give Marchand a contract longer than three years, and Marchand wanted a longer-term contract.
With everything Marchand has done for the Bruins organization, Sweeney should have given his captain whatever he wanted to keep him a Bruin for his entire career.
Do you think trading Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers was a big mistake by Don Sweeney?
