Former Boston Bruin, Tyler Bertuzzi had a good second half of the year for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Leafs are trying to get a contract extension going with him.
Bertuzzi signed a one-year $5.5 million deal with the Leafs in the off-season and had 21 goals and 22 assists, 43 points for the Leafs. During the season many high regarded insiders talked about Bertuzzi and the Leafs engaging in contract extension talks.
When the Leafs season came to an end Bertuzzi expressed his interest in re-signing with the Leafs as his family has seemed to enjoy their time in Toronto. According to a source Bertuzzi's new contract with the team would look something like four-years at $4.9 million annually, which would be less then what he is currently making.
He did enjoy his time in Boston, and the Bruins have a good amount of cap space heading into free agency, who's to say he doesn't re-sign with them?
