Targets for the Boston Bruins at This Years' Entry Draft

Don Sweeney has an opportunity to bring serious talent into the Bruins' core this season. While their draft assets are limited, there are ways to maximize.

Five Chances to Add Talent

The Bruins will pick five times in this years' draft. With picks 92, 124, 188, 215, and 220, Sweeney wil have to get creative, but there are serious opportunities available.

There will be chances to make trades as well, such as Matt Grzelcyk, or to combine draft picks to move up.

If they do keep their picks, however, it makes sense to swing on upside.

92nd overall is still a solid spot, especially in a draft like this one, and the Bruins could have a plethora of options - especially Russian player who are bound to slip.

One good target could be Timur Mukhanov, an undersized, tenacious Russian winger. It is not assured that he will be around at 92, but there is a semi-decent chance.

Mukhanov fits the Bruins' tough roster, and could grow in to a very fun middle-six winger. A grittier, smaller Taylor Hall, with a relentless motor. He would truly be a perfect Boston Bruin.

With one of their later picks, we should hope Don Sweeney makes the move to go after Hoyt Stanley, who is an efficient right-shot defenseman with size and speed.

He is a raw talent with a steep trip to the NHL, but he could easily be part of a future Bruins core that continues to contend.

There is a ton of talent in this years' draft, and despite the Bruins' lack of top picks, Sweeney could still leave with a haul.
