The Boston Bruins received some tough news on Wednesday.
The Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney announced that Marcus Johansson was tested at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Tuesday.
Unfortunately the tests revealed that Johansson had a lung contusion which forced him to stay overnight and be monitored in the hospital.
Johansson was released from hospital on Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in a week.
This news puts the Bruins in a tough spot as Johansson was the team's big deadline acquisition and was hoped to be David Krejci's linemate going forward.
