The Boston Bruins have been known to trade their first round pick over the last couple of years to get some trade deadline help.
This year they held on to it and ended up with the #30 pick overall beacuse of their Stanley Cup run.
There was some chatter the Bruins could move the pick before their turn to get some second line scoring help but instead decided to use it.
The draft was a real wild card on Friday night so the Bruins actually had some interesting choices available at #30.
When all was said and done the Bruins chose
John Beecher with the #30 pick.
Beecher is a big 6'3 209lb power forward and is something the Bruins need.
