BREAKING Bruins Place Defenseman On IR, Call Up Defenseman From AHL.

The team has placed defenseman Torey Krug on injured reserve. 

For now the Bruins have just released that it's an "upper body injury" suffered during the team's win against Washington on December 23. 

Sweeney also announced that the team has called up defenseman Steven Kampfer. 

Kampfer played four games earlier this season for the Bruins and has four assists in six games for Providence so far this year.
