While everybody's waiting to see if forward Patrice Bergeron will be starting the season with the Boston Bruins, the team has lost another big piece to start the year.
Bruins' defenseman
Torey Krug was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot this weekend and no updates were released regarding the defenseman.
There was various opinions on what it could be, and while general manager Don Sweeny didn't confirm the details of the injury, he confirmed he'll be missing some time.
Sweeney confirmed with reporters on Monday that Krug will be in the walking boot for the next three weeks.
The good news is that while it's the same foot that Krug had fractured in the playoffs, the injury isn't related.
The news probably means that
Urho Vaakanainen has a chance to start the season with the Bruins.
