The Boston Bruins decided to make Brad Marchand a scratch on Sunday to some people's surprise.
Speculation started to boil that it was a precautionary measure by the Bruins in fear of retribution for Marchand's collision with Hawks forward
Anthony Duclair on Saturday.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy was asked about the last minute Sunday scratch.
Cassidy stated that Marchand had suffered an upper body injury as a result of the Duclair collision and found out about it himself last second.
He added that Marchand is currently listed as day to day and no decision has been made on the Bruins' forward's status for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes in Carolina.
If Marchand plays on Tuesday, do you believe he was held out in fear of retribution?
