The Boston Bruins are in Philadelphia tonight as they play the lowly Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.
However when they suit up against the Flyers tonight, they'll be doing it without one of their veteran forwards.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy has decided to make David Backes a healthy scratch tonight as he'll be replaced by Peter Cehlarik on the team's second line beside David Krejci and Jake Debrusk.
Cassidy was recently quoted as saying "
I just think the pace is fast for him right now".
If the pace is fast for him now, it's not good news considering that Backes is signed through 2020-21 with a $6million cap hit and full no movement clause.
Chris Wagner will also play tonight while John Moore and Steven Kampfer will join Backes in the press box.
