The Boston Bruins pulled a sneak move on Wednesday.
The Montreal Canadiens had invited a young local undrafted defensman to their development camp earlier on in the week which had the local media and fans very happy.
However, he won't be headed to the Canadiens development camp anymore.
The Boston Bruins swooped in and signed 21 year old QMJHL prospect Olivier Galipeau to a one year AHL deal.
Galipeau, a lefty, averaged over a point per game last season, putting up a total of 74 points in 67 games split between the Chicoutimi Sagueneens and Acadie-Bathurst Titans.
It's always a good day when the Bruins can steal a prospect from the Canadiens.
