Hampus Lindholm has stepped up massively for the Boston Bruins without number-one defenseman Charlie McAvoy to start the 2022-23 season.

Lindholm recorded one goal and three assists to help the Bruins come back from a 5-2 deficit to the Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday night, and by doing so, he did something we haven't seen in a while.

Lindholm now has 11 points (3G, 8A) on the season and becomes the eighth defenseman in Bruins history to record at least that many points through the first ten games, and it's the most by a Boston defenseman since Ray Bourque in 1995-96 (4-8-12).

But that wasn't all he accomplished last night, as per NHL Public Relations:

Hampus Lindholm tallied 1-34 and became the first defenseman to record a four-point night this season. He became the fourth Bruins defenseman in the past 30 years to record a four-point outing, joining Ray Bourque (7x; last: Oct. 28, 1999), Torey Krug (Feb. 1, 2020 & March 6, 2018) and Matt Grzelcyk (Jan. 10, 2022).
