NHL Player Safety fines former Bruins captain Brad Marchand

After getting into an altercation with Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, former Bruins captain Brad Marchand has been fined.
It was just announced that Brad Marchand has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowed under the CBA for unsportsmanlike.
Florida's Brad Marchand has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for unsportsmanlike conduct for his actions during yesterday's game against Buffalo.

Saturday afternoon, the Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres faced off whenever Brad Marchand had a funny altercation with defenseman Rasmus Dahlin.
Brad Marchand has been called a "rat" around the league for a long time, and that was on full display Saturday afternoon.
During a game against the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand made the game get ugly.
It was a pretty physical game on both sides of the ice, but an altercation between Brad Marchand and Rasmus Dahlin topped it all.
Marchand was originally on the receiving end of a cross check from Dahlin in the defensive zone, when Marchand had enough.
You could see that Marchand was not happy with the play after getting back to his feet, and a series of events followed, reminding people why Marchand is called a rat.
Marchand chased Dahlin down after getting back up and tripped him. He then got onto of Dahlin after having enough.

This wasn't the end of though. Marchand ended up taking things a step further after this, stealing Dahlin's helmet and taking it to the box with him.
And this is when Marchand reminded fans why he has the nickname of being called a rat around the league.
Marchand ended up ripping the straps off of Dahlin's helmet, before throwing it back on the ice.

After the scrum, Marchand took Dahlin's helmet with him to the penalty box and ripped out the straps 😭
