Bruins Closing In On Deal With Mike Hoffman.

The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney have been pretty quiet over the last couple of weeks.�

Sweeney got his deal done with Jake DeBrusk, but it's been radio silence since.�
Yesterday we heard from Bruins' insider Joe Haggerty that Zdeno Chara is likely done in Boston and now we might have a better understanding of why.�
According to Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun, the Bruins and Mike Hoffman basically have a one year deal done but the Bruins are having trouble clearing cap space.�
The Bruins have $2.9million in salary cap space and from various reports Hoffman is looking for a one year $5million deal.�
Brennan also points out how Hoffman is needed with both Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak expected to miss the start of the season.�
