It's a scary situation when it comes to secondary scoring, the team only has 22 goals so far this year which puts them in a scary situation considering the Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens all have over 34 goals scored.
Secondary scoring is needed and we heard yesterday that the Bruins might grow their interest again in Ilya Kovalchuck.
However Kovalchuk carries a big cap hit at $6.25million per season through the 2020-21 season, something the Bruins might not be able to afford.
So NBC Sports' Joe Haggerty believes the team should check into somebody else.
The disgruntled Oilers forward is currently without a contract as a restricted free agent and is playing overseas in Europe putting up great numbers with 13 points in 13 games.
Haggerty belives the cost to acquire Puljujarvi besides signing a new contract would only be a top nine player and a draft pick, something the Bruins can afford.
Do you think the Bruins should roll the dice on the 21 year old?
