A completed signing for the Boston Bruins and it's big
On July 29th, 2004 the Boston Bruins made a massive splash by signing forward Tom Fitzgerald.
The deal would be a two-year deal, with salary details undisclosed and the Bruins being the seventh team he joined in 17 seasons in the NHL.

"Tom brings experience and leadership to our team," general manager Mike O'Connell said. "Having grown up in here, he knows what hockey means to the Boston area. We look forward to having him on the team, and we feel he will be a good influence on our young players."
He turned pro in the NHL in 1988 spending two seasons with Providence College.
Fitzgerald would join the Bruins for the 2005-2006 season and played 71 games for the Boston Bruins.
He scored 10 points(4 G, 6 A) with 40 PIMs.
Afterwards would conclude his career in Boston, just a little bit over a half hour away from his birthplace of Billerica, MA.
