Amidst the trade deadline buzz, the Boston Bruins have maintained their roster stability, at least for now.
However, recent rumors suggest that the Bruins were in the running for Elias Lindholm or Sean Monahan, only to see both players land elsewhere.
Now, attention turns to the possibility of a Bruins player being shipped out. According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, winger Jake DeBrusk could be on the move to the Edmonton Oilers, who are seeking a playoff rental forward.
DeBrusk, a pending unrestricted free agent, has yet to secure a contract extension with Boston. The idea of him heading to Edmonton, his hometown, makes sense given the Oilers' need for offensive firepower alongside stars like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
While DeBrusk's production has dipped this season, a trade could benefit the Bruins, providing them with much-needed draft picks and defensive depth in exchange for DeBrusk and possibly Warren Foegele.
