Bruins could make Marchand request trade out of Boston with this signing
Game respects game, but Rats don't respect each other in the NHL as Brad Marchand could be put off of the Bruins, if Don Sweeney signs this free-agent.
One of these free-agents is Nick Cousins, who is a fourth liner, grinder, puck retrieval and all-around rat.
Many players don't like Nick Cousins, and Marchand is one of them.
He was also voted as one of the players in the NHL with the most punchable face as well, sure to be a great thing should he arrive on a team who rosters that anonymous player.
"Played against him a long time," one player told The Athletic of Cousins. "Always hated the guy."
"I'm buddies with him and I'd still say him," another told the outlet.
What's even worse about this situation is as a free-agent, Cousins could be a potential upgrade for the Bruins depth.
The Panthers haven't circled back yet, as they're focused on other signings currently, recently signing Jesper Boqvist.
With that addition, does that mean Cousins might have to find another spot in Boston? Where he's been hated as a Panther and a rat?
Cousin's last cap hit in 2023-2024 with the Panthers, was 1X$1.1 M AAV and earned the title "Rat" from former Canucks player Kevin Bieksa.
