Multiple reports have confirmed that the return for Brad Marchand is a conditional 1st round pick.
The pick is a 2nd round pick in 2027 but could become a 1st in 2028 with conditions.

This is a terrible job by Don Sweeney if this is all he got for trading Brad Marchand.
Even though he is a UFA, there are smaller names that got bigger returns as rentals just like Brad Marchand.
