David Krejci has missed the Bruins' last four games with a lower-body injury, and on Tuesday morning, Jim Montgomery provided an update on the veteran.

Back on the Ice?

Kevin Paul DuPont was at Warrior Ice Arena the Bruins' practice this morning, and shared that Krejci skated on his
own prior to the team skate.

Which is a huge turnaround for the 36-year-old, who hasn't played since the Bruins were in Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on April 1st.

After practice, Montgomery shared when the team expects Krejci to return for game one of the postseason. Meaning he will not play in either Boston's final two regular season games. As per the head coach:

‘'[Tuesday] was his best day. So that has us optimistic about where he's going to be Game 1. He will not play in either game (to end the season).''

Krejci has had a terrific year after taking the entire 2021-22 season playing back home in Czechia. Through 70 games, the veteran registered 16 goals, 40 assists and a +23 rating.

As Ty Anderson of 98.5 revealed, it may be more of wanting him rested and ready for game one of the playoffs. Which would be crucial for Boston, as Krejci ranks third all-time in Bruins' history with 42 goals and 82 assists in 156 postseason games.
