Dmitry Orlov has been a welcomed addition to the Boston Bruins lineup since coming over at the Trade Deadline, while his offensive surge has also come as a surprise.

A Chance to Make Franchise History

Orlov has recorded at least one point in each of the first three games of the Bruins opening round series against the Panthers. With another point in game four, the defenseman can make franchise history. As per NHL Public Relations:

Dmitry Orlov can become the 10th player - and first defenseman - in Bruins history to record a point in each of his first four playoff games with the club. The last Boston skater to do so was Michael Ryder (5 GP in 2009).

It's almost hard to believe that no defenseman has ever achieved this feat in the team's 98-year history. Especially considering the icons that have walked the blueline in Boston, like Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque and Zdeno Chara.

The 31-year-old has four assists in three games while averaging 21:15 of ice time per game.
