The Bruins are up three games to one over the Panthers, and they've yet to have the services of Patrice Bergeron, but for how much longer?

Boston's captain has been at home resting a nagging injury while sending his team pointers as he watched them on tv.

Big Update from Monty

Head coach Jim Montgomery spoke to the media after the Bruins big 6-2 road win in game four, and provided updates on Bergeron‘s potential availability for game five.

''If they and the doctors say they're able to play, they're playing. You don't take chances in the playoffs. You don't wait to know if he's going to get another eight days of rest.''

‘'If he's healthy, and we know what the situation is, if he gets the green light, he's playing on Wednesday night.''

This is the closest that Bergeron has been close to returning at all. Which should come as no surprise as the team was expecting him back for Wednesday's game before game three.

And as of right now, Montgomery admitted that Bergeron is much closer than fellow veteran David Krejci:

''I have higher hopes for him playing than Krejci.''

It will interesting to see if the captain will be back in the lineup in front of the home crowd for game five!

Important to note that the team has played extremely well without both of the longtime Bruins.
