What could be a better way to cap off this historic season for David Pastrnak, then achieving last dime by Wayne Gretzky in 1987.

Can He Join ‘The Great One'?

Well, technically, Pastrnak and Connor McDavid can be the first to accomplish an impressive milestone last done by Gretzky.

As both players share one thing in common this season. According to NHL Public Relations:

Connor McDavid and David Pastrnak will both attempt to do something last accomplished by Wayne Gretzky: Score 60 goals in the regular season and win the #StanleyCup in the same year.

This particular feat has been done 10 times by six different players, with both Gretzky and Mike Bossy accomplishing it three times apiece.

Phil Esposito was the only other Bruins player to do so, back in the 1971-72 season when he scored 66 regular season goals and added nine more on way to the Stanley Cup.

Pasta and McDavid have great odds at being the next superstars to hoist the Cup, with both the Bruins and Oilers being top contenders in their respective conferences.
