Patrice Bergeron has missed 3 of Boston's last 5 games due to nagging injuries, but should fans be worried about the captain?

When is it Time to Worry?

Bergeron was first banged up on February 23rd, from a late hit to the head from Rem Pitlick of the Montreal Canadiens.

Four games later, Bergeron took a dangerous hit up high again, this time from Lane Pederson of the Columbus Blue Jacket. The veteran was even bleeding from his ear afterward:

The Bruins captain has since been held out of the team's last two games, which was a back-to-back in Pittsburgh and St. Louis over the weekend.

And according to head coach Jim Montgomery, Bergeron is suffering from more than one injury:

''Bergeron's out. Resting nagging injuries here that — obviously the cross-check in the ear — but he's been dealing with some upper-body and lower-body issues that we'd like to get him some rest on.''

In his 19th season, Bergeron is still dominating as the defensive forward he's always been. The 37-year-old is third on the team with 27 goals and 30 assists in 74 games.

Is there cause for concern regarding Bergeron with just five games remaining this season?

However, in other good news for Bergeron, and others with nagging injuries, Ty Anderson reported that the Bruins will take Tuesday off as well:

''Bruins announce that they will take Tuesday off as well. Back to practice Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Warrior.''
