At 34, former NHL star Tyler Ennis has announced his retirement due to a career-ending neck injury sustained while playing for Alder Mannheim in the DEL.

With an impressive NHL career that spanned 700 games, Ennis notched 144 goals and 346 points with teams like Buffalo, Minnesota, Toronto, Ottawa, and Edmonton.

His international contributions include representing Canada in 13 games, making appearances at the 2015 IIHF World Championship and the 2023 Spengler Cup. Ennis, leaving behind a legacy marked by skill and dedication, prompts reflection on the physical risks inherent in professional hockey.
