Spencer Martin Officially Gets Claimed Off Of Waivers Today

On Thursday, the Columbus Blue Jackets made a noteworthy move, placing goalie Spencer Martin on waivers, marking a significant development in his journey with the team.

This decision came four months after the Blue Jackets claimed him from the Vancouver Canucks, adding a layer of intrigue to his evolving career.

The plot thickened on Friday when Martin experienced yet another shift, finding himself on his third team of the season.

The Carolina Hurricanes claimed him off the waiver wire, intensifying the twists and turns in the goalie's recent trajectory.





Martin's recent stint with the Blue Jackets followed two years in Vancouver, where he faced the waiver wire in September. Columbus claimed him, setting the stage for a goaltending dynamic with Elvis Merzlikins and fan-favorite Daniil Tarasov.

Drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft by the Colorado Avalanche, Martin brings a career NHL record of 17-25-6, boasting a 3.63 GAA and a .886 save percentage.
