On November 19th, 2023, Boston's Milan Lucic faced Domestic Abuse charges, leading to an upcoming trial on Feb 16th.

The Bruins initially expressed support but have since remained silent. Lucic is on indefinite leave and injured reserve, with the team adopting an "innocent until proven guilty" stance.

While the CBA Morality Clause grants Boston the authority to take action, the prevailing expectation is they might address the situation in the offseason unless Lucic is proven guilty before season's end.

The uncertainty surrounding legal proceedings leaves Lucic's future with the Bruins hanging in the balance.
