Nothing like getting to live out your childhood dreams! That's exactly what happened when the Bruins selected Jackson Edward with the 200th overall pick in the 2022 Draft.
The defenseman is from Newmarket, Ontario, but he didn't grow up a Maple Leafs fan. It turns out that Edward grew up cheering for the black and gold, so it was truly a dream come true for the 18-year-old.
A Dream Come True
The youngster discussed the feeling of being picked by his favourite team:
''Boston was my favorite team growing upI liked Chara when I was younger and then Marchand became my favorite player.''
Edward appeared in 65 games for the London Knights of the OHL this season, registering five goals, 20 assists and 110 penalty minutes.
