A major rumour involving the Boston Bruins and Tyler Bertuzzi was just confirmed
A major rumour involving Tyler Bertuzzi heading back to the Boston Bruins has just been confirmed.
Now that the off-season is here there have been a lot of rumours involving the Boston Bruins and Tyler Bertuzzi having a reunion, but that was all cleared following these recent reports.
A recent statement from Brad Treliving has suggested that the Leafs are trying to figure out how to make things work with Tyler Bertuzzi to keep him around in a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey.
"We've got a few guys who are up," he continued. "And part of this is getting better, too. It's not just being the same. You're trying to get better in the process, as well. So we'll see."
Tyler Bertuzzi left the Boston Bruins in free agency last off-season to sign a one-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs on a $5.5 million contract.
Although the Maple Leafs want to keep Bertuzzi around, ultimately he has all the say in what happens and if he wanted to he could test out free agency this year.
So this doesn't shut the door on Bertuzzi coming back to the Boston Bruins, but it seems more than likely he won't be especially after David Pastrnak's comments on him leaving to go to the Leafs.
