Boston Bruins hint at starting goaltender for opening night game against the Florida Panthers

During the Boston Bruins season opening press conference it was revealed that Joonas Korpisalo will be the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins opening night, and it was looking like Brandon Bussi was going to be the backup.

Since then things have changed, as just two days before the regular season was supposed to start, the Boston Bruins shocked the hockey world and announced the signing of Jeremy Swayman.

Sunday morning Elliotte Friedman reported that the Boston Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman have agreed to a 8-year, $8.25 million contract extension.

Just yesterday, Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery stated that there is a possibility that the Bruins decide to go with Jeremy Swayman for their season opener instead of Joonas Korpisalo, but it will be a game time decision.

Well following morning skate for the Bruins, it seems like we know who will be starting their game tonight.

Joonas Korpisalo was the first Boston Bruins goaltender off the ice following their morning skate, indicating that he will be the starting goaltender.

Many fans feel like Joonas Korpsialo deserves to be the game one starter after giving the Boston Bruins some stability in the crease while they struggled to come to an agreement with Jeremy Swayman.

It's going to be a game time decision, but if Joonas Korpsialo does get the start, it will be nice to see how he holds himself against a strong team like the Stanley Cup Champions.
