A major development has surfaced ahead of the Bruins game tonight, and a top-six forward may be returning back to the lineup.

On Saturday, the Bruins had a day off as they prepared to take on the San Jose Sharks, and a key player returned back to practice.
According to a report, Elias Lindholm was a full participant during the Bruins practice on Saturday.
To begin their four-game California road trip, Lindholm ended up traveling with the team, hinting that he was super close to returning back to the ice.
But, even though he was a full participant during practice, it doesn't mean that he is going to be back in the lineup tonight.

Sturm comments on Lindholm returning

Head coach Marco Sturm commented on Lindholm returning back to the lineup and stated that he isn't sure whether or not he will be good to go.
«Doesn't mean anything yet,» Sturm said after practice on Saturday. «We'll see, still going day by day. See how he feels today, see how he feels tomorrow, and kind of go from there.»

During practice, Tanner Jeannot was not present due to having a maintenance day and Sturm had Lindholm take his place on the third line with Minten and Kastelic.
Lindholm has missed some time, as he has been out of the lineup since October 30th after suffering a lower-body injury.
Lindholm has been good for the Bruins this season, scoring 4 goals and 5 assists for nine points in 13 games.
Even though the Bruins won against the Kings on Friday, he still wanted the team to practice on Saturday.
«Even if we only got a little thing out of it, of a practice like today, it's not really hard, but you always want to touch on one thing,» Sturm said. «I always pick one thing. It's a little bit of the tracking and going back to our D-zone.

«We really noticed it in the Anaheim game, and we really noticed it last night, how much better we were. We just wanted to touch on it.»

Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight against the San Jose Sharks.
