It is just a matter of time, for Don Sweeney and Jeremy Swayman to sign on the dotted line.
Swayman is expected to fetch a good pay increase, after being the most reliable Bruins goal-tender in 2023-2024.
He earned the starting goalie spot with a 25-10-8 record, a 2.53 GAA, and a .916 save percentage.
He also played all playoff games for the Bruins aside from one, but there's something to be said about the Bruins fandom, are they too quick to judge Sweeney, Swayman and Agent Lewis Gross?
We should exercise a bit of patience, while two camps figure out what works best for their client, and their team.
There's no doubt that Sweeney would let Swayman walk later in the year with no contract for the season.
I guess we should just listen to Sway and go with the flow.
Swayman's last contract was decided by a third party, with an AAV of $3.475 Million for the year. He could end up being one of the highest-paid goalies in the NHL, depending on comparables.
