The Boston Bruins don't have the best center depth after the retirements of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, leaving Pavel Zacha as the first line center. Now, Zacha isn't bad, but you would rather have this center as your first liner than Pavel.
A source says if Calgary Flames center, Elias Lindholm, is made available, the Bruins will be in.
Elias Lindholm has been a massive trade talk these past couple of months, but no team has really impressed Calgary enough to trade him. One team that was involved was the Boston Bruins, but those rumors declined by the days went on until we heard nothing of it.
Lindholm is 28 years old and is a former top 5 pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Last year with the Flames he had 22 goals and 42 assists, tallying up to 64 points in 80 games.
It'll be interesting to see if Boston really jumps on top of it this time.
