Two years ago today, Jimmy Hayes passed away at the age of 31.
Shane O'Brian, the host of the Missin' Curfew podcast, had this to say about Jimmy Hayes:
Before being drafted, Jimmy took his talents to Boston College University of the NCAA. He was then drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2008 in the second round.
In his career, he played for the Chicago Blackhawks for three seasons, the Flordia Panthers for two, the Boston Bruins for two, and then his final year with the New Jersey Devils in 2018. Jimmy Hayes had 54 goals and 55 assists, tallying up to 109 points in 334 games.
Rest in peace, Jimmy.
