Bruins general manager has reportedly put a high price on a top-six forward, and teams are going to have to pay a big price to acquire him.
But there were other big names that the Bruins did not end up trading and could look to move either during the year or towards the NHL trade deadline.
Two players that received some attention at the trade deadline, but the Bruins didn't trade, were
Jeremy Swayman and
Pavel Zacha.
The Bruins made it clear that they are not willing to move on from
Swayman, as they believe that he is going to be their key piece to this retool, but some new details have emerged on the Bruins trading Pavel Zacha.
Bruins place a high price on Pavel Zacha
Today, NHL insider David Pagnotta revealed some new details regarding the Bruins trading Pavel Zacha, and it's a bit surprising.
It's unclear what the Bruins were being offered for Zacha at the NHL trade deadline, but according to Pagnotta, the Bruins are asking for a high price from teams for his services.
David Pagnotta: Don Sweeney...has set a pretty high price, Pavel Zacha was very much available last season, teams look at him ahead the trade deadline, they looked at him in the offseason - Sekeres & Price (10/23)
There is some belief that he isn't going to be on the Bruins roster past the NHL trade deadline, and it's only a matter of time before a trade happens.
Zacha is playing some of the best hockey of his career this year, making it a smart move for the Bruins to trade him at some point, as his value is at an all-time high.
This is especially when thinking that multiple teams are looking for a top-six center.
Do you think trading Pavel Zacha would be a smart move by the Boston Bruins?
