A new report has surfaced involving the defensive pairing of Charlie McAvoy and Mason Lohrei, and there is a chance that the pair gets broken up.
Nothing has been going right for the
Bruins so far this season, and the past couple of games have really emphasized that.
In their game against the Panthers, the Bruins battled back from being down 2-0, to tying the game 3-3 late in the third period.
Just after they tied the game, they ended up giving up a weak goal with just over 25 seconds remaining in the third, which costed them the game.
Last night, something similar ended up happening.
Against the Anaheim Ducks, it was back and forth all game, with the Bruins once again tying the game 5-5 late in the third.
Just 32 seconds later, the Ducks ended up scoring the game-winning goal.
Ducks score to make it 6-5 just 32 seconds after Bruins tie it up. Just unbelievable.
Mason Lohrei and Charlie McAvoy to be broken up
After this play happened, OnlyBruins, a podcast for the Bruins on Twitter, took to social media and called for the Bruins to break up the Lohrei and McAvoy pairing.
I need Sturm to breakup this Lohrei McAvoy pairing asap
The pairing hasn't looked good all year and has been causing them more harm than good.
Losing this game made it six in a row for the Boston Bruins, and it's clear that change needs to happen.
