Bruins fans are happy after team decided to cut ties with this player
The Boston Bruins decided to forego signing UFA defenseman Derek Forbort.
As a result, he walked in free-agency and would be swooped up by GM Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks, as a depth defenseman.
Forbort would sign a meager 1X$1.5 Million dollar deal, as the 2nd former Bruin to sign with the Canucks this week.

Fans disliked him for his consistent turnovers, and that can turn any player into an easy villain.
Derek Forbort, signed 1x$1.5M by VAN, is a physical third-pairing defenceman. A bit turnover-prone, which made many fans dislike him in Boston, but also a great penalty killer and strong chance suppressor. BOS gave up basically no oddman or cross-slot chances with him on the ice.
But with Zadarov taking over in Boston, a new leafs has turned and the Bruins blueline will change considerably, and for the better.
