In a rare and unexpected turn of events in the realm of hockey, former Winnipeg Jets draft pick Mikhail Berdin seized the spotlight over the weekend.

The goaltender, currently showcasing his skills with the Kontinental Hockey League's Sochi HC, found himself in a heated situation after Kunlun Red Stars' Devin Brosseau bulldozed him in his own net.

The incident unfolded after Brosseau's aggressive maneuver in front of the net, leaving Berdin visibly incensed. Instead of letting the matter rest, Berdin took matters into his own hands, utilizing the aftermath of the collision to target Brosseau behind the play.

Brosseau, whether caught off guard or opting to avoid confrontation, quickly assumed a defensive position, seemingly wanting no part in the enraged goaltender's quest for retribution.

Despite Brosseau offering minimal resistance and adopting the turtle position on the ice, Berdin unleashed two additional blows, displaying an intensity that seemed ready for more, but he restrained himself when officials intervened.

The altercation, marked by Berdin's calculated retaliation, added a dramatic and unusual twist to the hockey narrative over the weekend.
