This could be the most insane game in NHL history. In fact, it has already matched the record for the second craziest period ever. We're watching history unfold.

Chaos Unfolding in Canadiens vs. Panthers Match

The game between the Canadiens and the Panthers isn't even at its midpoint, but the scoresheet would suggest otherwise.

The current score is 9-4 in favor of the Panthers, following an intense first period in which the teams scored a combined ten goals.

This first period equals the second-place record for the highest number of goals scored in a single NHL period.

Additionally, the game has seen the highly unusual occurrence of a double goalie-pull.

After being taken out for letting in the Habs' first three goals, Samuel Montembault was reinstated after Jake Allen conceded another four.

Sergei Bobrovsky hasn't performed exceptionally well either, but he has certainly outperformed Montembault and Allen.

The Panthers have had a fantastic opportunity to boost their statistics, with nearly every player earning a point.

With half the game remaining, it's anyone's guess what other records this match may break.
