Patrice Bergeron continues to cement himself as one of the best to play for the Boston Bruins, including his latest performance against the Sabres.
Making History 15 seconds in
Bergeron scored the opening goal just 15 seconds into the game in Buffalo on Sunday. After a 7-0 final, the captain would end up with the game-winner, tying him with Bruins legend Johnny Bucyk in franchise history.
As per TSN's StatsCentre:
While his goal 15 seconds into Sunday afternoon's tilt with the Sabres was just the 1st of 7 scored by his team, it also marked the only one they would need in a 7-0 victory. As a result, Patrice Bergeron now shares top spot on this list of players in @NHLBruins franchise history.
Including regular season and playoffs, Bergeron (10 in postseason) is tied with Bucyk (3 in postseason) with 91 career game winning goals.
Brad Marchand isn't far behind either with 71 regular season and 10 playoff game-winning goals in his career.
26-year-old David Pastrnak, however, is well on his way to passing all of them. If Pasta played 1,452 games at this pace (same amount as Bergeron currently), he would be at 119 career game winners.
