Both goaltender Jeremy Swayman and forward David Pastrnak made their way over to Finland to represent their countries at the 2022 IIHF World Championships. Swayman for the United States and Pastrnak for the Czech Republic.

Swayman started his first game for the U.S. Thursday morning against Great Britain and was perfect. The rookie goaltending stopped 17 of 17 shots he faced for the 3-0 win and to push USA's record to 2-1-0-1 and sit in third in Group B.

Pastrnak and Team Czechia are up against Team Latvia Thursday afternoon, and the Bruins' star got his first point of the tournament with an assist on a 2-0 goal by Roman Cervenka just 4:58 into the first. He also scored his goal of the tournament at 18:56 of the first, with the primary assist from longtime Bs teammate David Krejci.

Where have we seen this before?:

Pastrnak finished the game with 1 goal and 1 assist in a 5-1 win for Team Czechia, who are now 2-0-1-1 and sit in fourth in Group B.

Hopefully, he's doing his best to recruit his buddy Krejci for next year!
