Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed this afternoon that defenseman Charlie McAvoy will play Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
It's a great boost for the B's as they continue to try and lockdown the Atlantic Division title.
McAvoy has been out since suffering a knee injury on March 3rd and missed the following 15 games. He's slated to play alongside Zdeno Chara on the top defensive pairing.
Cassidy also mentioned that Tommy Wingels will be sidelined after being slashed in the hand on Sunday and that's why Colby Cave was called up on an emergency basis.
