The Boston Bruins blew a lead last night in Philadelphia and ended up losing the game to the Flyers in shootout.
It wasn't the usual defensive performance that the Bruins are used to with a score of 6-5 and head coach Bruce Cassidy wasn't happy.
Cassidy wasn't pointing the finger at anybody specific, instead he called out the whole team.
"Talk about the goaltending, talk about the (defensemen) in front of them. I think they both can take their share of blame for some of those goals, especially the 4-on-4, we've got three different guys circling around there," Cassidy ranted.
"It's inexcusable. You're in the third period, you've got a lead that's getting away from you we're pretty good at buckling down. I don't know what to tell you about that particular play. No compete in front of the net, no urgency to keep the puck out of the net from three of our players. Clearly, not a good enough job."
The Bruins have a chance to bounce back tonight but they'll have to do it against a surging Columbus Blue Jackets team who are 6-2-2 in their last 10.
What do you think of Cassidy's comments?
